The Story

Featuring restyled bodies for 1967-68 and the uncanny ability to accommodate nearly the entire line of available Ford Motor Company powertrains, the updated Mustang offered more of everything for buyers in basic form. A huge array of factory options also made it possible to order up a totally unique car suited to individual buyer requirements. In addition to the competition glamor of Shelby’s Mustang-based GT models, the Mustang’s intrinsic desirability was heightened by excellent product placements, including screen icon Steve McQueen’s smash hit 1968 cop film “Bullitt,” ensuring the 1968 Mustang’s everlasting place in automotive and movie lore.

Mustangs from the 1967-68 run are now gaining the recognition they deserve as sought-after collectibles in stock or restored form. They are also highly adaptable to custom builds with levels of performance, handling and comfort far beyond their original factory specifications.

Finished in Medium Blue Metallic paint with white Lemans stripes, this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback is powered by an FE 427 CI big-block V-8 engine equipped with dual 4-barrel carburetors and breathing out through a side-exit exhaust system. Supporting features include a 5-speed manual transmission and power brakes. Other features and amenities include Vintage Air, AutoMeter gauges and a wood-rimmed steering wheel atop a tilt column. Custom chrome Halibrand-style wheels deliver a 1960s presence while mounting modern BF Goodrich tires.
