The Story
The Boss 302S is built by Ford Racing, together with Watson Engineering, as a ready-to-run road-racing car. The basic specs are aimed at Pirelli World Challenge GTS-class racing, but the car is also suitable for SCCA and NASA club events. Ford built only 50 cars in 2013, and allocations were extremely hard to come by with most dealers asking a premium.
Powering the Boss 302S is the 5.0L BossR V-8, which is based on the Boss 302 Coyote V-8 and features unique Ford Performance engine calibration for a factory-rated output of 444 HP and 380 lb-ft of torque when new. It is equipped with a Tremec T-6060 6-speed manual transmission with integrated cooling pump, 3.73 rear end and a Torsen T2R differential.
Brembo 4-piston brakes provide the stopping power with 14-inch front and 12-inch rear rotors, PFC pads, Ford Racing brake ducts, stainless lines and Ford Racing ABS system. A Recaro HANS ProRacer seat is outfitted in the cockpit along with a Hand window net and Sabelt six-point harness.
This 2013 Ford Mustang Boss 302S race car is no. 36 of a reported 50 race cars sold through Ford Racing for the 2013 model year and is finished in Matte Black with gloss black graphics. Equipment includes an FIA-specification roll cage, a Sparco fire-suppression system, an AIM MXL digital display and data logger, Brembo 4-piston front brake calipers, adjustable coilovers and a Recaro seat with a Sabelt harness. The ABS system was specially calibrated for track use, and the car is equipped with braided stainless steel brake hoses.
This example offered here remains brand new and is ready to be taken to the track or remain a collectible for years to come.
