The Story

The ACR variant, which stands for American Club Racer, exists so that Viper enthusiasts can compete with a factory-prepped car at the road course. With its monster V-10 engine, track-focused suspension and extreme aero package, the ACR is a purpose-built machine to dominate road courses. The Dodge Viper ACR is so well sorted that it set Nurburgring lap time at 7:01.3 around the legendary circuit, a new all-time record for an American, rear-drive and manual-transmission car.

Powering this track weapon is an 8.4L V-10 sending power to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual gearbox. Factory-rated output was 645 HP at 6,200 RPM and 600 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 RPM when new. Magazine road tests recorded 0-60 MPH in 3.3 seconds, 0-100 MPH in 7.5 seconds and an 11.5-second quarter-mile.

Dynamically, the unique Bilstein racing shocks and unique race alignment deliver up to three modes of suspension height adjustment, which are complemented by the race-tuned five-mode ESC. As standard, the ACR package adds carbon-ceramic brakes with 15.4-inch rotors and 6-piston calipers up front, plus 14.2-inch rotors and 4-piston calipers in the rear. The ACR Extreme aerodynamic treatment is composed of a low front splitter, dual canards on each side of the front bumper, front fender vents and a rear wing that is currently angled for track use.

This 2016 Dodge Viper ACR offered here was ordered new by the original owner in the desirable Y’Orange paint with a Black Center Band and Black Driver's Stripe. Inside is outfitted with beautiful leather/alcantara seats and alcantara steering wheel. It now has just over 5,500 miles since new and presents extremely well and complete with a clean carfax.

With production of the Viper ended, these cars are becoming more sought-after in the marketplace. As the ACR Extreme is the best version of the Viper, it will become more collectible in years to come. So, if you are looking for a race car that you could drive to a race track and then drive it back home at the end of the day, check out this 2016 Dodge Viper ACR Extreme.
