The Story

The Max Wedge is a legendary performance engine that played a crucial role in the success of Plymouth's high-performance cars, particularly the 1962-1964 Plymouth Belvedere. While the HEMI V-8 is often the more famous of Plymouth’s performance engines, the Max Wedge engine is just as significant, especially for those in the drag racing community.

This 1964 Plymouth Belvedere was previously rotisserie-restored by Legendary Motorcar Company. The exterior is finished in the stunning shade of Medium Turquoise Metallic as well as the engine compartment and undercarriage. The paint has been wet sanded and polished to a magnificent finish. The brightwork around the car gleams and the interior is trimmed in blue vinyl with a front and rear bench seat. Under the hood is a 426 CI Max Wedge engine with the famous cross ram and backed by a pushbutton automatic transmission. Today, the Max Wedge still remains a legend in the drag racing world, known for its brute force and racing heritage.
