The Story

Nissan’s R32 GT-R was a technological automotive marvel with a level of mechanical sophistication that, up to that point, had only been seen on Porsche's ground-breaking 959. The new R32 GTR was powered by a twin-turbo RB26DETT inline-6 allied with a 5-speed manual transmission, HICAS all-wheel steering and all-wheel drive. On paper, these cars were stated to produce 276 HP, though these were usually underrated numbers to please the limiting laws in Japan. With the engines designed for racing, it was relatively easy to tune the engines well beyond those numbers.

The V-Spec editions were made to celebrate the success of the GT-R in Group N and Group A racing (Victory Specification). This package added Brembo brakes, a retuned all-wheel drive system for better performance, a lightweight aluminum hood and a front bumper from the "Nismo" R32. The 17-inch BBS alloy wheels were standard with the V-Spec cars, with the V-Spec II examples receiving larger tires 245/45R/17 tires.

This 1994 Nissan R32 Skyline GT-R V-Spec II is an amazing original, unmodified example with only 21,977 miles on the odometer. It’s such a rare occurrence to find an R32 GT-R with no aftermarket modifications, let alone with the rare V-Spec II optional package. The Crystal White paint is in incredible condition for its age, as is the interior. The factory finishes throughout the car are in impressive condition, and the driving dynamics of the car reveal a well-cared-for machine. The underside is likewise in excellent condition. Accompanying this special GT-R are owner's manuals, tools, jacks, a spare tire and service records.

The R32 GT-R has gained worldwide acclaim and a cult following, especially in parts of the world that until recently did not allow the importation of "Godzilla." A right-hand drive cultural racing icon, still in untouched stock condition and bearing the racing heritage of Nissan from the ‘90s, is an excellent recipe for future collectability.
