1962 Chevrolet Impala Convertible

When looking at the Impala’s third generation, created from 1961-64, the 1962 model is often seen as the most desirable from a styling standpoint. At the time it arrived, these sporty Impalas had stepped into the place once occupied by the likes of the fuel-injected 1957 models. Unlike 1961’s quiet introduction, Chevrolet actively promoted this release with small 409 displacement callouts with crossed flags on the front fenders and fresh Impala SS identification on the rear quarter panels and decklid. This is complemented by the upper body chrome side strip, the lower rocker moldings, dual rearview mirrors, Chevrolet crests on the front and rear lid edges, and the full-length bright tail lamp panel.
