The Story

The most sophisticated to its time, the 2018 Chevrolet Corvette in standard form combined sensational styling, breathtaking acceleration and otherworldly handling like none before it, but there was more of everything available for buyers wanting the most out of their Corvette experience. Offered at a mere 12,753 miles, this 2018 Stingray coupe demonstrates the potential that can be unleashed with the right options and an extra dose of aftermarket adrenaline.

Finished in handsome Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic paint with a removable carbon fiber roof panel, it features the Z51 Performance Package that comprises performance suspension and brakes with black-painted calipers, dry-sump oiling, an Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) with performance gear ratios, differential and transmission cooling, and an Aero Package with ACS composite splitters and diffuser. It is additionally optioned with the $9,745 3LT Preferred Equipment Group, which includes a black Nappa leather and microfiber interior with heated and ventilated bucket seats, head-up display, a Bose 10-speaker sound system, an 8-inch touch-screen navigation system with Apple and Android connectivity, dual-zone climate control and a performance data recorder.

Its LT1 6.2L V-8 engine has been modified with a custom ground camshaft, forged pistons, Borla exhaust with high-flow cats and an ECU tune to arrive at a rating of 509 HP, a 12% increase over the stock 455 HP, and it drives the Z51-specific 7-speed manual transmission. Suspension upgrades were added in the form of adjustable coilover shock absorbers and Nitto NT555 G2 tires on RSR Forged 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels to make full use of this 2018 Stingray coupe’s enhanced performance.
