1951 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup

Advance-Design was a light- and medium-duty truck series by Chevrolet, its first major redesign after World War II. Its GMC counterpart was the GMC New Design. It was billed as a larger, stronger and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier AK Series. First available on Saturday June 28, 1947, these trucks were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25, 1955, when the Task Force trucks replaced the Advance-Design model. The Chevrolet 3100 5-window pickup builds on the lasting appeal of the Advanced-Design generation of light-duty trucks. As advanced as they were, their creators could not have anticipated their future as classics that continue to enjoy broad appeal in the trucking hobby.

This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 5-Window Pickup was frame-on restored and finished in beautiful Forester Green paint. The interior cab was painted with the correct gray paint and fitted with a brown leather bench seat and matching door cards. Under the hood is the 235 CI Thriftmaster inline 6-cylinder engine, which still retains its correct Delco Remy starter, generator, Rochester carburetor and oil-bath air cleaner. Shifting duties are handled by a 3-speed manual transmission on the column, as it came from the factory.
